A Portal into Paradise

When Disney+ planned the release of its new series "Paradise," they wanted to get people interested right away. Their goal: create a public experience that would grab attention and reflect the suspenseful nature of the show. They asked Ocean Outdoor to come up with a concept
for a large outdoor screen, and we were asked to bring it to life.

An Interactive Moment of Discovery

We created an interactive outdoor screen experience where people could trigger the trailer for "Paradise" by stepping into a marked spot in front of the display.

At first, passersby saw a blurry, security camera-style version of themselves on the large screen, with vague messages hovering above. This visual pulled people in, prompting many to step toward a designated area marked on the ground. Once someone stepped into that zone, a countdown began, signaling something was about to happen. When it reached zero, the screen changed—the blurry image faded, and the show's trailer played in full.

The shift from blurred reflection to clear trailer was a small surprise that matched the show’s tone. It was a chance to turn
a public screen interactive, giving people a moment they didn’t expect while passing by; which sparked their curiosity and drew attention to the show in a subtle yet effective way.
